Course Overview:
The Campbell Course, Home of The Children’s Course, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing youth ages 7 to 17, building values that strengthen their character, and guiding them in becoming responsible adults through the game of golf. We are also a licensed chapter of a national/international non-profit youth development organization known as First Tee.
Employment Status:
This is a part-time seasonal position; 20 hours per week.
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent, this position will assist with maintenance practices to maintain the golf course. All candidates are subject to a background check and personal/professional reference check.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Course maintenance included but not limited to mowing greens, tees, fairways, and rough areas.
Assist with weeding and yard debris disposal.
Assist with applications of fertilizers and other plant protectants as needed.
Working with golf course volunteers
Pro-Shop grounds maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
Training in horticulture or previous landscaping experience
Ability to take the initiative to innovate and problem-solve challenges
Strong time management skills
Working knowledge of the game of golf
Able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate the seasonality of the golf business
Salary:
$20-$25/hour, dependent on experience.
